The Jim Clark Story

On Tuesday 14th May, Kenny McLean will introduce ‘The Jim Clark Story’

In his talk, he will give an overview of Jim Clark’s career from his early life through amateur racing and on to becoming world champion, culminating in his untimely death in 1968. After an audiovisual part he will outline work on the new museum and its features.

Due to open in July the new museum is the result of a £1.8M redevelopment to create an outstanding visitor attraction for Jim Clark fans, locals, tourists, and visitors. It will feature permanent and temporary exhibit spaces, cinema area, trophy room, racing simulator, real Jim Clark cars, and more.

Kenny is from Duns, went to the University of Edinburgh, and has worked for Live Borders Museums & Galleries (formerly SBC Museum & Gallery service) for 3.5 years, and has now been Learning & Engagement Officer for the new Jim Clark Motorsport Museum for just under a year.
