Geology introduction – landscapes, rocks and fossils
This year, we shall investigate some of the fabulous geology in the surrounding area
including some details of the rocks and fossils. From the comfort of the hall we will
interpret past environments from deserts, to tropical seas and frozen plains. Along the way,
we will explore the exciting journey, over 400 million years, of the British Isles from south
of the Equator to our current latitude. The aim is that participants will be able to interpret
the landscapes for themselves.
